Alice Flecha's Pantoum

Chronology

Time is months and years and seconds
It does what it wants, taking its time
With ticks and tocks and watches and clocks
Relentless and timeless, it rules our universe

We do what we want, taking our time
Human created time, a mere concept that now entraps us
Relentless and timeless, it rules our universe
Our own creation turned against us

Time created humans, mere concepts that now entrap it
With ticks and tocks and watches and clocks
Its own creation turned against it
Time is seconds and months and years

This is a neat poem. I like the message about our construction of time and time's construction of us. The pantoum style works really well for a poem about time with it's cyclical nature. The only criticism I have is I think I would erase "mere" before "concepts" each time because it would simplify the poem and would keep the poems emotion balanced.
